G.C.E. ADVANCED LEVEL - EDEXCEL

INTRODUCTION

London GCE Advanced Level qualification is internationally recognised and it satisfies admission requirements of reputed Universities world-wide. EDEXCEL International has awarded Teaching Institute Centre status to Royal Institute and it is therefore a registered centre for EDEXCEL examinations in Sri Lanka.

Royal Institute with well qualified and experienced academic staff in the permanent cadre provides quality education. There is an ideal learning environment supplemented with its well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Royal Institute has over 20 years experience in preparing students for the London GCE Advanced Level examinations and has produced very impressive results throughout.

LIBRARY

The Institute has a  specious, air conditioned and well stocked library which can be used for private study and borrowing.  The Library is generally kept open on all days of the week.  Students are encouraged to avail themselves of this facility right through the programme and make intensive use of the reference facility.

While sports and extra curricular activities are promoted, student discipline of the highest level is maintained.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Passes in not less than 6 subjects including Maths and English in G.C.E. O/L examination with at least 3 B passes and preferably a minimum of 2 B passes to be in the offering subjects for the A/Level course.  However  preference will be given to students with better results when enrolling students for this course.  An above average competence in English is compulsory.
